R. Kelly ‘Black Panties’ Album Gets New Release Date
2013 looks like the year R. Kelly starts winning big again after few years in the wilderness of musical success.
After a well received performance at the BET Awards in June, a new feature on Lady Gaga’s third studio album “ARTPOP” on a song called “Do What U Want” – the king of R&B music will release his 12th record on December 10.
As previously reported Kelly’s new album will be titled “Black Panties” and it will be released via RCA Records.
The singer from Chicago has released three songs from the project so far, he started in July with “My Story,” that was followed by “Genius” in September and “Cookie” earlier this month.
The 2 Chainz-assisted single “My Story” is currently making some moves on urban radio and “Genius” is expected to perform decently on the urban AC chart.
According to R. Kelly he collaborated with Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Future and Twista on “Black Panties.”
A radio rip of a song titled “Tear It Up” featuring Future leaked online in September but it never got officially released by the singer’s label.
While the fans of the Pied Piper of R&B music wait for his new music to hit the airwaves, they will be able to hear him on The Best Man Holiday soundtrack that will be out later this month (October 29) on a song called “Christmas, I’ll be Steppin’.”
A snippet of the song the R&B legend did with Lady Gaga “Do What U Want” can be also be heard in the new Best Buy commercial for Beats by Dr. Dre, you can watch it below.
The full song will be debuting on October 21, Lady Gaga told her followers earlier today.
